Materials Required
  • Peeled hard-boiled egg
  • A jar with opening slightly smaller than the diameter of the egg
  • Very hot water.

How to do it

  • Set the egg on the bottle.
  •  Run the bottle under very hot tap water.
  •  Warmed air will escape around the egg.
  •  Set the bottle away from the hot water.
  •  As it cools, the egg will be pushed into the bottle.

Explanation

When the temperature of the air inside the bottle is changed by putting the fire inside, there is a change in the pressure of the air inside the bottle. Hence when the jar is cooled, there is change in pressure and Hence the egg is pulled inside the jar.
