Play Activity to learn Counting and Adding

Materials Required
* A large number of 55 children in groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (even if group can be made until groups of 5,6, and 7) * An adult to conduct the game
Method
  • The children are told that they have to join together with another group to form the appropriate number announced and asked by the adult.
  • The adult can ask one group to come out say of 5 children and announce make group of 9.
  • Then the group of 4 and 5 has to join to form a group of 9. Similarly a group of 5 can join.
  • Together with group of 7 when 12 is called out, group of 10 can join with 5 when 15 is called out and so on. 
  • The activity continues till the children love to play.
How Does It Help
Children learn addition with fun and master numbers. Promotes social activity and interaction.
Conclusion
The child said excitedly, I love playing this game as I have lots of fun with learning. I do not have to work on my desk all day.
