Method
|
- All the children can sit comfortably or lie down on the carpet with their eyes closed.
- The parent starts telling them a very enthusiastic story for about 5 minutes.
The story can be something like this:
Aruna and her younger brother Arvind, one day decided to cross the forest to visit their grandmother. As they were passing through the forest they first saw a lion. The lion told Aruna, “I have been angry for 3 days, I am going to eat you up.” Aruna said, “Please do not eat me as my poor brother will be all alone.” The lion then said, “ I will then eat your little brother, he looks so chubby.” Aruna continued, “ Oh king of the forest my brother Arvind is so small and he cannot form your meal. I will go get someone else who is big and fat.” As they went on they met an elephant that asked Aruna, “Why are you feeling sad?” Aruna told him everything and said she wanted to get rid of the lion. The elephant was really angry and thought of an idea. He told Aruna, “Just take me to him and I will teach him a lesson.” The elephant went with Aruna and Arvind, just lifted the lion with its trunk as it approached him, turned him up and down and then threw him outside the forest never to be seen again.
- Now ask the children to open their eyes and ask each one of them to narrate how they felt about themselves. Children will give positive and heroic ideas and thoughts.
