Compose Music With Glasses Of Water - cr
Materials Required
* 5 or more drinking glasses or glass bottles
* Water
* Wooden stick such as a pencil
Method
  • Line up the glasses and put water in each glass, such that the first glass contains the least water and the last glass is almost full. 
  • Hit the glass with the least amount of water and observe the sound. 
  • Then hit the glass with the most water, and compare which made a louder sound. 
  • Observe the tune you can make by hitting each glass. 
  • With this the children can have a small music composed by them.
What is Learnt
Each of the glasses will have a different tone when hit with the pencil. This is observed when a wooden stick hits the glass.
Conclusion
The glass with the most water will have the lowest tone and slowest vibration, while the glass with least water has highest vibration and sound.
