* Group of children * A blackboard with daily schedule * Open cemented place where one can easily draw and write. * An adult to conduct activity
A schedule is put up on the blackboard indicating times like: Brush your teeth: 7:00am, Dress Up : 7:45 am, Breakfast: 8:00 am, School: 8:45am, Back From School: 3:45pm and so on. Clocks with the time drawn in the clock with minute hand and hour hand. The adult tells the children that as the time is called out, the child has to go to the appropriate clock. Ex: At breakfast time the child has to go stand in the clock that shows 8:00 am. The adult calls out each child’s name and calls out the time. The child failing has to leave the game and watch as others play. The game continues till one is left or children desire to play( more rounds can be played)
* Children learn to be alert and notice things. * They learn to read time. * They learn to coordinate routine with time.
That’s to the first lesson in reading time leading to better management of time.
