Kids Science Activities

Planetarium at your home
Materials Required
  • A Black chart paper.
  • A big funnel.
  • Pin.
  • Torch light.

How to do it

  • Preferably do this experiment at night.
  • First cut the black chart paper and paste it on the wide part of the funnel tightly.
  • Then make holes small and big with the pin on the paper.
  • Switch off all the lights.
  • Stand before a wall.
  • Now flash the torch light inside the tapering part of the funnerl. The light should not be seen out. It should be seen only through the chart paper.
  • The right will be projected on the wall and gives the effect of planetarium.
