Materials Required Cooking Oil Cork Coin Water Grape Honey Tall transparent Bottle How to do it Fill one third of the bottle with honey. Fill the next third with the cooking oil. Fill the last third of the bottlw with water. Wait for all three liquids to settle. Do not disturb the bottle. Now ask your child to in the coin , then the grape and then the cork. Ask the child to observe what happens. Explanation All three items coin, grape and cork land up on each of the three different fluids namely honey, oil and water. Each liquid and item have different densities and stay in a separate layer according to its density. The most dense is at the bottom and the least dense is at the top. Make a record of the position of the liquid and the objects.
