Water Magic - Surface Tension

| Materials Required |
- A box of paper clips.
- A glass
- Water
|

How to do it
|
- Fill the glass with water up to the brim of the glass.
- Slowly immerse the paper clips one after another into the water.
- Let the child observe what happens. The water does not spill out until a certain amount of pins is dipped into the water.
- Let the child observe the water surface. It will look like a expanded surface on top.

| This is due to the surface tension of the water which tries to pull molecules toward it. |
