Why Ice Turns Slippery
Materials Required
* Ice
  • Take out solid ice from the ice tray and keep it in your hand for some time.
  • Observe what happens as time passes.
What is Learnt
Ice turns to water by the heat in your hands and and turns slippery and falls off. Since it continues to turn to water it is difficult to pick it up. While ice skating, the ice skates press hard against the surface of ice making it turn to water that aids sliding and gliding along the water.
Ice turns slippery in a short time and slips and falls to the ground and it is difficult to pick it up.
