Method

  • Soak the seeds in water for a day. Make sure to change the water twice.
  • Next pour out the water and put the soaked seeds in a sieve and keep in a warm place for some time.
  • Alternately, you can put the seeds in a moist vessel and cover it.
  • Once the seeds start sprouting, keep sprinkling some water from time to time.
  • When you get sprouts of an inch, just store the sprouts in the refrigerator and encourage your child to eat them each day at breakfast and in salads and other dishes.

What is Learnt

Sprouts can be easily made at home by combination of moisture, warmth and sunlight. Sprouts are healthy and tasty and can make breakfast times crunchy fun times for your child.

Conclusion

It is learnt that moisture, warmth and sometimes indirect sunlight help seeds to sprouts, some sprout faster than others. Putting the sprouts in the refrigerator stops further sprouting until it is put in a warm place.
