See My Colorful Volcano!!
Materials Required
* 2 tablespoons of baking soda,
* Half a cup vinegar,
* Food coloring of any colors (red, orange, yellow, green, and blue)
* Sand or mud
Method
  • Go outdoors and ask the child to build a volcano out of sand, leaving a hole in the center top. 
  • Add 2 tablespoons baking soda, Half a cup of vinegar and some food coloring in the hole. Red would be the most ideal color. 
  • Just ask the child to watch what happens and enjoy it.  
What is Learnt
An alkali(baking soda) combines with acid(vinegar) to give out carbon-di-oxide that froths and comes out as a red volcano.
Conclusion
The liquid inside erupts as a red volcano due to the reaction of vinegar and acid with baking soda an alkali.
